INFORMATION OF INTEREST AS A FOLLOW-UP to RPB's Press Alert of 5/8/02, we're pleased to inform you that more than 30 of the world's leading vision scientists will be on hand to report on exciting new advances in eye research in a press conference format. Presentations will cover a multitude of topics including vision risks unrecognized by the public and promising new therapies for a wide variety of hitherto untreatable eye diseases. PROCEEDINGS begin officially with a welcoming reception on Saturday, September 21. There will be a special late morning coffee and bagel nosh on Sunday immediately followed by an afternoon mini-symposium entitled "The Pediatric Eye". Complimentary buffet breakfasts and luncheons will afford journalists daily opportunities to chat informally with participating scientists. Each day's session will be capped by a cocktail hour featuring bounteous hors d'oeuvres.
