Stem Cell Research – Now a Barking Chicken? What’s Next?!?

According to confidential sources, an impending shortage of chickens is believed to be imminent in the USA for the balance of 2005 thru 2008. This shortage is due to the sudden increase in demand for chicken as a primary source of nutrition. Hence causing a new chicken breed to be genetically engineered which will bark like a dog. Stem cell Research has now begun to develop what is being called “The Nando’s Peri-Peri Barking Chicken”

A Spokesman for CAUSA (Chicken Assoc. of the USA) says
“The Barking Chicken will solve this impending disaster”. The unprecedented demand for chickens is being caused by the use of Nando’s Peri-Peri Hot Sauces.

A Nando’s spokesman is quoted as saying that it will make no difference to sales of chickens whether they bark or not, as Nando’s tastes great on all animals but especially tasty on grilled chicken. “People won’t care if the chicken barks or not!”

The Scientists & Veterinarians in Northern CA responsible for this “Nando’s Barking Chicken” were not available for comment.

This addictive Peri-Peri Hot Sauce may be obtained in small quantities at http://www.nandosusa.com.

Scary

Chickens. But will be barking like dogs?Honestly, this article is a bit scary, due to the chickens are losing their ends!Engineered them to be barked like dogs?It is a bit scary, then how will the chickens be different than the dogs?Their cell division is isolated and I cant stand a chicken that would bark us to wake in the morning! No no,I feel this article is getting a bit wrong,if the chickens would bark, the world has really turn upside down due to this engineering corse of thing.

New movie coming out based on Chicken Cloning..

Its called The Cluckus Horror.. Everything goes well, until a mistake in the chickens gorgle causes it to bark instead of cluck. It throws the Democlucks into complete confusion, and the republiducks can't wait to start a civil war with the chickens to annihilate the barking chicken abomination in the name of Cluckianity..

I hear they are thinking of using the tagline, "The Buck! Buck! Buck! stops here!"

barking chicken???

It shouldn’t be literally a barking chicken, maybe its the other way around. And in fact, Stem cells are cells found in most, if not all, multi-cellular organisms. They are characterized by the ability to renew themselves through mitotic cell division and differentiating into a diverse range of specialized cell types. Research in the stem cell field grew out of findings by Canadian scientists Ernest A. McCulloch and James E. Till in the 1960s. The two broad types of mammalian stem cells are: embryonic stem cells that are isolated from the inner cell mass of blast cysts, and adult stem cells that are found in adult tissues. In a developing embryo, stem cells can differentiate into all of the specialized embryonic tissues. In adult organisms, stem cells and progenitor cells act as a repair system for the body, replenishing specialized cells, but also maintain the normal turnover of regenerative organs, such as blood, skin or intestinal tissues. And have you read the article about the NASA? The husband and wife Samim Anghaie.and Sousan Anghaie. They might be the next to be added to the growing list of people that are getting busted for fraud. They Anghaie have been arrested on charges of money laundering and defrauding NASA, to the tune of about $3.4 million.

Horribe!

That is the most repulsive thing I have heard! Why would any DECENT person want a chicken to sound like a dog? I have had chickens all of my life and I wouldn't want a chicken that barks! Thats not natural, anyone who was involved in that should be ashamed.

MainFragger's picture

Whhy would you want a Chicken that can bark?

So it can be a Clucker Spaniel!

Its Bark is worse than its Peck...

Barking chicken!

Well i don't mind barking chicken as long as it tastes the same thing. It might just be a bit weird in the morning, when the sun is rising.. to hear.. mmm.. the chickens :)

Not Helpful

Like the article says, I have no problem eating a chicken that barks like a dog, nor would I be concerned with purring. I would, however, have a problem eating a dog that clucks like a chicken. Maybe that's an unfair bias.
