About us
Science Blog was started in August 2002. It lives, breathes and eats press releases from research organizations around the globe. Most of what you read here are press releases from the outfits named in the stories themselves. Got a news story you think belongs here?
Let's talk.
The other half of the equation is
blog posts from readers like you. So if you have an interest in science,
please register and join others like you in an ongoing, vibrant dialog about what makes the world tick. Meantime, please take a minute to read our

This is what I am not understanding. The last interglacial period was several degrees higher than it currently is right now. Even after 120 so odd years of industrial revolution, the current temperatures have barely risen. Even if the temperatures do go up as high as the last interglacial period, which does not seem to be happening, I do not see how that would harm us. If our ancestors were able to survive in a world like that, then we should have no trouble at all. Even if the temperature does rise by as little as 2 degrees, we will be fine, we will still be here, life may be a little tougher, but it will go on.
