Watchng Evolution?

"Many of this year's breakthrough studies followed evolution at the genetic level. In October this year, an international team of researchers unveiled a map of the chimpanzee genome. Scientists are already poring over the chimpanzee genome and another international effort, the biggest map to date of single-letter variations in the human genetic sequence, hoping to get a better glimpse of the human species' evolutionary history."

I am a bit perplexed. Are you saying that it has been adequately demonstrated that the existence of a monkeys genome, and an observers ability to research it and other cellular phenomena actually provide a significantly adequate basis for claiming the sufficiency of so called "evolutionary" processes to explain the range and depth of living systems observable at this point in time? Look, I am not trying to engage in the traditional "evolution vs. creationism" argumentation that is so prevalent in this day and age. I just am amazed that these vastly unsubstantiated claims continue to "hit" mainstream media in such an unabated fashion!!!!!!
