Solar systems work when sunlight strikes a solar photovoltaic module and excites electrons trapped in the silicon solar cell. The electrons travel through wires on the back of the solar panel and into your house, to be used immediately or sent to your electric utility. During the night, power for your house is provided by your utility. And, because your solar system has no moving parts, and no mechanical wear and tear, it will last for many years with only minimal maintenance.
the majority of your sunlight is in the summer months, when the wind doesn't blow. The flip side of that is during the winter when you get very little sun, the wind is blowing the strongest.

cost savings from solar panel , photovoltaic cost per kilowatt-hour is finally getting within a reasonable range; add solar's other benefits (it's renewable, widely available, non-polluting and its scale is flexible), and photovoltaic become a feasible alternative energy source.
