About us
Science Blog was started in August 2002. It lives, breathes and eats press releases from research organizations around the globe. Most of what you read here are press releases from the outfits named in the stories themselves. Got a news story you think belongs here?
Let's talk.
The other half of the equation is
blog posts from readers like you. So if you have an interest in science,
please register and join others like you in an ongoing, vibrant dialog about what makes the world tick. Meantime, please take a minute to read our

My theory is that these were grain threshing areas in a time when the climate was different. the Grain could have been Threshed and swept down the grooves to be collected (thats why they are on an incline, this area could also have been Covered,a soil sample of the area would ascertain what crops were growing at the time.similarly the smaller rock circles could have been used for either pigments, dyes,or even herbs separation or crushing like a pestal or mortar. The Ancients had very little time for non practical or non pragmatical use of Ancient Labour. From other Ancient sites in Burial, the crop circles, were a sign of plenty ,abundance ,rebirth and fertility, and why they were revered as they took this as cycles and cycle of life itself. This is my simple belief and I come from an Ancient Celtic people.
Yours respectfully
