About us
Science Blog was started in August 2002. It lives, breathes and eats press releases from research organizations around the globe. Most of what you read here are press releases from the outfits named in the stories themselves. Got a news story you think belongs here?
Let's talk.
The other half of the equation is
blog posts from readers like you. So if you have an interest in science,

It's bad enough this group of people are trying to severely limit a trace gas which is essential for plant life on earth, now they are cooking up wild schemes to play with the environment in ways which could cause far more damage than any supposed global warming. Why not just explode all the nuclear weapons and create a nuclear winter? Is that really a more outlandish statement than what you read in the article?
The article states global warming is getting worse faster than projections. How can that be when it has cooled since 1998? Didn't the projections say we'd be 1-2 degrees hotter by now if we didn't immediately curb CO2? Hmmm, CO2 has increased and the temperature has gone down.
Yes, the climate changes. It gets warmer, it gets colder. Should we spend trillions of dollars trying to make it stay the same all the time? Would it do any good? Right now I'd vote for making it warmer since it hasn't been much above 0 F around here for a couple of weeks.
