Yes it has. It's so funny, I just did a presentation for my subject of physiotherapy. My topic was 'Massage Therapy'.
Massage has many diverse physiological effects, which are primarily due to the therapist's hands moving over the body. The different movements can physically stretch muscles, ligaments, tendons and fascia, encourage the circulation through the tissue, inhibit muscular spasms and be either sedating or stimulating to the nervous system.
I mean imagine it, it has been around for ages, in ancient times in Egypt, in ancient Chinese and Indian medicine, and they are still widely practised all over the world nowadays.
It is also believed that every human being in this earth has a inborn longing to touch. To feel another human's skin on your. So you could say that massage therapy both has therapeutic effects mentally and physically. Life Coaching Certification
