That is because Big Pharma does not want cures (diabetes, aids, the common cold) as they would never make as much money as they do with selling 'maintenence'. They are truly drug dealers in the street definition as all they want are addicts they can soak for 30+ years. Hell, now they are INVENTING diseases (Restless Leg Syndrome? WTF?).
