Well, they screwed up my last quote somewhat but the gist of the press release is about right. The normal low level of beta amyloid circulating in everyone's (including diabetics) bloodstream along with the high levels of glucose in the blood of diabetics may be leading to vascular problems in the brain that either initiate or exacerbate the Alzheimer's pathology.
