Oldest Tree? ... my reply

So, how old am I. After all, I am due to the "seeds" of my father and mother, and so on and so on.

A seed, or root that grows another tree is not the same tree.

After all, if I replace myself with my son (he is an offspring or his genetic code is rooted from mine and my wife's), have I not continued my age?

What's that ... a bacteria that's been around for 10,000 years? Sure there are plenty of bacteria that split themselves (much like a tree expanding itself through either seeds or roots that grow into a tree).
