About us
Science Blog was started in August 2002. It lives, breathes and eats press releases from research organizations around the globe. Most of what you read here are press releases from the outfits named in the stories themselves. Got a news story you think belongs here?
Let's talk.
The other half of the equation is
blog posts from readers like you. So if you have an interest in science,
please register and join others like you in an ongoing, vibrant dialog about what makes the world tick. Meantime, please take a minute to read our
Privacy Policy and Site Disclaimer.
I generally don't spell check out of principel. I figure that if made-up spellings was good enough for the 1700's, they should be good enough for me.
I should note that the information on all of the sites referenced in this post (as far as I can tell) is generally accurate. I will also point out that I polled no children prior to writing, therefore I don't know how they would respond to each site. I'm sure they would be much harsher critics.
One thing I forgot to mention was that I couldn't find any kid-friendly site that claim that global warming is a hoax. Anyone know of a site where I can take a 5-year-old to learn about the dangers of eco-extremism? If not, then I would say to that group that they're missing a key demographic.
