Franklin medals

Submitted by Anonymous on Tue, 2008-03-25 16:37.

I wonder if I have an early Franklin Medal?

My great uncle Harry Wigo invented a 4 color one pass printing process while working at the Curtis publishing in the 1930's. This process enabled Curtis to publish the Sunday comics for most newspapers in the country for many years.

We have The large brass medal aprox 4" diamiter which was presented to him.

Is there a connection to the current medals?
