Here is a web site that shows that JPL uses supercomputers to blur all of the pictures that we receive from Malin Space Co. (JPL's contract company that handles all of the MOC photo strips). A lot of reading but worth it. It took me a couple of days to slow down my eyes and brain to learn how to see through the blur that the JPL computers put on the photos:
