About us
Science Blog was started in August 2002. It lives, breathes and eats press releases from research organizations around the globe. Most of what you read here are press releases from the outfits named in the stories themselves. Got a news story you think belongs here?
Let's talk.
The other half of the equation is
blog posts from readers like you. So if you have an interest in science,
please register and join others like you in an ongoing, vibrant dialog about what makes the world tick. Meantime, please take a minute to read our
Privacy Policy and Site Disclaimer.
It didn't find signs of life but rather signs of possible conditions that support microbial life on Earth.
It's very interesting news, but it leaves a big question mark about whether life actually thrived there at one time.
For the same reason I included a question mark in the title of my book for young readers Martian Fossils on Earth? The Story of Meteorite ALH84001, I think you need a better headline here. Scientific articles deserve more care and less sensationalism than is implied by the headline.
(Readers, please note two of my other titles are for sale in the gift list to the left.)
