Paternal Age and CNVs
Submitted by Anonymous on Wed, 2008-03-26 17:20.
Why won't the genomics researchers study whether CNVs in sperm are related to a man's age. In the study of Neurexin1 and Contactin4 the ages of the fathers of the autistic children were not released. Since paternal age is such a strong risk factor for non-familial autism it would be valuable to find out if CNVs increase in incidence with paternal age.
