There was a study using iPET scans of pedophile and non-pedophile sex offenders that suggested that there was some "neural intrusion" or simultaneous activation of areas in the brains in pedophiles (not non-pedophiles) that were associated with sexuality and an instinct for caring for the young. I heard nothing about it since. Could some smart person help me with this? I can't seem to find anything on the 'net.

Also, I heard that the association of pedophilia due to having been abused as a child by family members causing "familial", learned pedophilia was unsubstantiated by twin and adoption studies of newborn children from families-of-origin that had pedophile members, that developed pedophilia in adulthood although they had not experienced sexual abuse as children.

I am an activist against CSA, a lay volunteer. One thing that has fascinated me is that many, NOT ALL, perps have strong similarities in physical traits. I always wondered if I was just imagining this, but since the left-handed and short stature correlations came out I'm not so sure. I am hoping, actually pleading for somebody who is knowledgeable in the field to answer some of my questions including this one: Some (a lot) of pedophiles have; an almost lip-less, under-developed down-turned mouth and under-developed lower face and jaw; a "soft",narrow-shouldered, slack physique. Many need very heavy vision correction. These characteristics also seem like they could point to compromised pregnancy?
