I thought this article is an amazing find! A little over eight years ago I developed an acute eye infection. I was initially treated for pink eye, but it became so severe, that my cousin Judy had to drive me to the ER, because I could not see. Several months prior to the eye infection I was having difficulty holding anything in my hands, and had lots of aches in my wrists and ankles. I was referred to a rheumatiod arthritis specialist, who considered my case a puzzle. It was the eye doctor the ER referred me to, Dr. Dvorek, who took one look at my eye infection and recognized the adeno virus! He sent a letter to the RA specialist who recognized that a symptom of this virus is small joint pain!

At that time, I was slender. Since then I have gained 75 pounds!! I have recently dropped 25 pounds, but not without a struggle. It may indeed be another cop-out, but I found the article very interesting. Since I have remainded active over all of these years, and continued to consume large quantities of water, it has been a puzzle as to why the weight continued to pile on!
