If SN 2006gy is 240 million light years away, and we are just now seeing the explosion, then this explosion occured some 181 million years before the dinosaurs walked the earth. Someone help me here, could there have been an event in the past that could send out distuctive radiation that could distroy the earth and we are just waiting for it to happen? God is good.
