About us
Science Blog was started in August 2002. It lives, breathes and eats press releases from research organizations around the globe. Most of what you read here are press releases from the outfits named in the stories themselves. Got a news story you think belongs here?
Let's talk.
The other half of the equation is
blog posts from readers like you. So if you have an interest in science,
please register and join others like you in an ongoing, vibrant dialog about what makes the world tick. Meantime, please take a minute to read our

I am from Europe and been to the USA many times. Your health system is based on theft not on helping or curing people. What they charge you for medicine we almost get for free overhere.(Austria)
Healthcare in Europe on average works likes this:
Private: You pay around 80-120 Euro a month and you are covered for everything the doctor does to you. From X-Rays to operations. Its all included.Any accidents etc.
Employed: The healthcare plan is substracted from your income and you are totally covered.Same price more or less. Same coverage.
If you are a poor without an income you apply for the emergency funding and you get enough money to afford food and your health care plan is for free. You need however to apply for this, get registered and attend seminars where they will try to find you a suitable work but you are definitely covered and don't pay for the doctor.
I believe in Barack Obama, he is the first president in almost American History that makes sense to me. Your former presidents were crooks and thieves on an epic level...
