Fluorescence microscope! Aargh! Speaking of which, one of the things I've learned recently is about how the tiny little particles in sunscreen that shield your skin also wash down the drain to oceans and wetlands, and no one is really sure yet whether or how all those little particles pollute the water and the ecosystem. But, free radicals and nanoparticles notwithstanding, I think I'll keep wearing sunscreen now and then -- don't want to sit in the dark all the time...
