Science Blog was started in August 2002. It lives, breathes and eats press releases from research organizations around the globe. Most of what you read here are press releases from the outfits named in the stories themselves. Got a news story you think belongs here?
Let's talk.

Hi all, I am glad i have stumbled across this website so i can talk to other people who are in the same boat as mine. So I am a 22 year old female who has been wetting the bed forever. I had surgery when I was 6 to stretch my bladder. Also I have been on every medication you could imagine. I found it really hard for me to attend camp, sleep overs without having an accident. I got made fun of in public school and on into high school. Most days it seems like there is never going to be an end to it. at the age of 16 i wanted to commit suicide because i believed that no guy will ever want to date a girl that wets the bed. Still to this day I think about dying. I really hope i can help others like me out there. I really just want to live my life and not have to worry about the sleeping arrangements. Its sucks. I also have a kidney that doesnt work correctly, it blockes pee from going through my kidney and it causes me pain and discomfort. the doctors wont do anything about it unless i start to have infections. My father wet the bed until he was 12 and then it just stopped. I dont know why mine hasnt stopped. I have had many very uncomfortable proceedures that did wore then good so i know what its like. So here are some suggestions that may or maynot help but you can always try and pass other suggestions around.
Try:
No pop or caffinated beverages* if something bothers your bladder and makes you use the bathroom more then you should avoid it to see what happeneds*
no tea or iced tea
only have juice or water
medication for over active bladder before bed.
If things are bothering you write them down
Less bedding and more coolness. If you are more award of being cold then you can try to get up and use the bathroom.
Also:
Don't let parents get to you by yelling at you or punishing you for having an accident. Its not your fault and by then not supporting you will only make things worse.
If you feel uncomfortable wearing something dont. just make sure you empty your bladder right before bed.
Goodnight work well for overnight stays. they can be embarrassing but they give you the feeling that you didnt wet the bed. but i wouldnt get the in the habbit of wearing them cause your body will get used to them.
Okay everybody I hoped this helped. Email me if you would like to talk canadiangirl16_2007@hotmail.com
